Viktor Láznička
Viktor Láznička was born on 9 January 1988 in Pardubice, the Czech Republic. He learned to play chess at the age of 6. He made fast progresses to playing junior tournaments and gained many victories in the national championships organized for his age limit. He won great prizes in the under-10 category in 1997 and the inder-12 category in 1998 and 1999. In 2000, he ranked the 2nd in the under-18 chess event that all chess fans were eager to participate in at that time.
As soon as school ended, Viktor Lázničkaenrolled at the Charles University from Prague with the main purpose of studying Business Administration but continued to display his great passion for the chess game. One of his big early achievements was the bronze medal at the European Youth Chess Championship in 2005. In 2006, he became the winner of the great Czech Chess Championship, victory that meant a lot for his career as a professional chess player. This was also the great year when he managed to qualify as a grandmaster and moved his passion for chess to an entirely different level, starting his Olympiadchess career. That was the greatest moment in his career, the moment when he managed to score the best individual result of the Czech team in Turin. Great victories came for him afterwards in famous chess tournaments that made him famous worldwide.
During his chess career, Viktor Láznička was trained by various coaches. Recently, he has been trained by the famous coach Sergei Movsesian, who is an important Slovakian player and one of his teammates in the Czech league. Laznicka, in 2008 and 2009 won the Kolkata Open in his first visit and was tied second going into the final round on his next visit. But he lost the last game and finished sixth. When he goes to a certain location to play chess, he likes to know that place as a tourist. He is always intersted in being informed about anything related to the chess torunaments in which he plays because everythign related to chess is important for him. He has dedicated himself to the game, has made impossibel efforts to always improve when playign chess and his amazing results are a live proof of hos passion and great talent.
Viktor Láznička has been praised fpr his playing technique which is considered quite technical but also for his natural talent in playign chess, for the way in which each victory has been achieved by him due to his great passion for the game. Both technical details and passion are really important when it comes to playign a games such as the chess game because you cannot win if you do bnot like the game or if you are not well informed about it, its rules and without the necessary skills in makign the right moves durign the game. Greatest victires have been obtained out of passion and Viktor Láznička remains one of the greatest chess players in the world.
